Directions:
Mash the garlic cloves in a mortar or with the flat of a large knife on a board with the salt, cumin and cloves to make a paste. In a medium sized pan, mix the garlic/ seasoning paste with the onions and the lime juice.
Just before serving, heat the oil over medium-high heat, in another pan, until very hot. Add this to the mixture in the first pan very quickly and carefully because it spatters. Serve immediately. It may be reheated by simmering gently for 5 or 6 minutes until hot again.
